Dimapur, July 2: Freshers’ of KROS College, Leirie, Kohima celebrated the 6th Freshers’ Day on July 2 in the college auditorium.
Freshers from different places gathered to make their presence before senior students by entertaining them with various talents. They sought their co-operation all through the years they are going to make the way for their career. The seniors also extended support to freshers’. The principal, Ms Imsuinla Imti articulated the achievements of KROS College of 100% in commerce and 87.5% of Arts result in the recent University Examination and especially the passed out students who secured positions in various streams.
Addressing the crowd, she said, KROS College is committed to nurturing students’ potential to excel and to enable them to become responsible citizens.
The invitee, Kiyanilie Peseyie, Minister for Social Welfare & Security, Parliamentary Affairs spoke about the priority to be given to the students to excel themselves in different aspects of life. He encouraged them to have good attitude which is necessary in academic career. Exposure has become wide range of necessity in the present scenario of job hunt, he added.
Senior students added flavors to Freshers’ Day celebration by presenting songs which pass the message of being a good student and good human being in the society. Cultural dance by Krosian cultural troop presented splendid performance.
