Dimapur, November 5: Parliamentary Secretary of Planning & Coordination, Evaluation & Monitoring Cell and Taxes, Neiba Kronu, inaugurated the Leshemi village panchayat hall and library hall of Leshemi Students’ Union on November 4.
Speaking on the occasion, Kronu lauded the villagers for their truthfulness, honesty and hard work. He appreciated honesty of the people as the village is free of burglary even if the doors remain unlock and villagers can undertake agricultural activities without any apprehension. Another commendable example is the sale of vegetables along the road side where customers can pick anything in their absence by paying the amount accordingly as per price tag placed on every item.
Kronu said such trend of trust and honesty must also be adopted by others.He further urged upon the people to desist from petty politics but concentrate on hard work to accomplish their desired goals. He also highlighted on the tourism prospects of the area.
Razouvolie Dozo, Project Director DRDA Phek, and Mikha Lomi, Retired DC Phek, also spoke on the occasion.
The function was led by Leshemi village council chairman Wezhiepe Sara, while the welcome address was delivered by Leshemi VDB secretary Medongu Losou. Leshemi youth society and Lewoza village presented folk song and special song respectively. The vote of thanks was proposed by Leshemi Students’ Union president Neipetso Lomi.
