Kronu inaugurates govt. infrastructures in Zuketsa

Phek, Nov. 28 (EMN): Minister of Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu, inaugurated four newly constructed  buildings at Zuketsa village under Phek district on November 27.

The buildings included strengthening of existing Government High School Zuketsa  under Samagra Shiksha, GA Rest House under CAWD, and Tribal Hostel Building under Ministry of Tribal Affairs, government of India.

Addressing the gathering, the minister appreciated the villagers for judicious use of the funds provided by the government and for completing the facilities within the timeframe. He also appreciated the collective efforts in renovating the old building without fund provided by the government.

He informed that as per the education policy, decisions are being taken to merge the schools depending on the number of enrolment and also on performance of the students. The minister also urged upon the public to take proper care of the government projects in the interest of all.

He described people of Zuketsa area as peace loving and hard working with agriculture being the main stay. Touching on the scope of agricultural related activities in Zuketsa area, he stated that the government would continue to give special attention towards strengthening of  agri and allied activities across Nagaland. He added that the government is also working hard to promote agricultural activities, besides other development works.

Also bringing cheers to the  commuters, Kronu assured to repair and  mainten  Viswema-Zuketsa road till Pfutsero adding the process would start before Christmas.

Also speaking on the occasion, joint mission director of Samagra Shiksha Nagaland, Dr. Kevizakie Rio stressed on the need for increasing the enrolment of students in government schools saying that government appoints the best qualified teachers.

He said that under the Right to Education Act, the government has been opening schools in all the villages so as to provide quality education to students.

Appreciating the judicious use of the fund in construction of RCC structured school buildings at Zuketsa, he said enrolment has to improve both in the school and hostel to avail the more developmental funds.

The function was chaired by president of Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) Mikha Kenye, while the welcome address was delivered by president of Zuketsa Area Public Organisation (ZAPO) Sabou Krome and the vote of thanks was proposed by ZAPO finance secretary Kedoutsolhi Wetsah.
