In view of the importance of the ongoing construction work, and in order to ensure smooth progress without any disruption, the Konyak Union Mon Unit notified that it expects a prompt response (DPR) to this matter and a renewed commitment to completing the project diligently.
"Failure to take immediate corrective action may result in further consequences," it stated.

It stated that unofficial taxation, monetary demands, or any form of collection from the construction agencies or its workforce by any group is strictly prohibited. It said that it has been observed that such taxes and imposed charges interfere with the quality, pace and successful completion of the project.
"Any group found imposing or collecting such taxes from the construction entity will face stern action as deemed appropriate by the KU Mon Unit," it stated. It also requested citizens not to obstruct the existing road.
"The Medical College and Road is a public Asset for the welfare and future of the people of Mon and should not be hindered by unauthorised intervention; cooperation from all is earnestly requested," it added.
