DIMAPUR — The Koinonia Prayer Centre (KPC) on
Thursday observed its 9th foundation day at its centre in Tsiesema-Basa.
In his message, Rev. Dr. Zotuo Kiewhuo, founder pastor of
KBC and principal of Kohima Bible College, emphasised the importance of prayer
and repentance in this tumultuous time.
Drawing from Isaiah 56, he highlighted the need for God's
people to gather on the ‘holy mountain’ for healing, revival, deliverance and
rejoicing in the Lord.
Rev. Kiewhuo reiterated the theme of KPC "My house
shall be called a house of prayer" (Isaiah 56:7), emphasising its role as
a place of prayer for the salvation of all nations, particularly the people of
Kohima and Nagaland. He urged Christian leaders to prioritise prayer for
spiritual understanding, an update from the centre stated.
He warned that various churches would rise, some of which
would be ‘infant and babes’ susceptible to false doctrines and worldly
philosophies (1 Corinthians 3:1-3, Galatians 3:1-3). However, he encouraged
believers to pray, preach the Word and do good in the Lord, just like the
churches in Thessalonica, Philippi, and Berea.
Rev. Kiewhuo shared that KPC today stands as a ‘holy
mountain’ and a ‘house of prayer’ where people from around the world including
Japan, Germany, Bhutan, and India come to seek God.
He further encouraged the congregation to cultivate a
fervent love for one another, pray for lost souls and do the work of God
through giving and preaching.
The service was led by H Rokopra Mekro, pastor of Koinonia
Prayer Centre, while scripture reading was led by evangelist Nyamongi Rong and
evangelist Meyiengonü Tetso.
The celebration was hosted by Neilhou Sopfünuo and family,
evangelist of Angami Christian Revival Church, Dimapur.
