Youth representatives from Kohima participated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's virtual interaction under the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme 2026, highlighting border development and nation-building.
DIMAPUR — A virtual interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme (VVP) 2026 was held at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, on July 26.
According to a DIPR report, the programme was attended by 20 participants, including youth representatives from Kohima district who had taken part in VVP 2026.
During the nationwide virtual interaction, the Prime Minister commended the participants for their contribution to strengthening the vision of Viksit Bharat through their active engagement with India's border villages.
Modi highlighted the strategic importance of border areas, emphasized the need to preserve their rich cultural heritage, and encouraged the youth to serve as ambassadors of national integration, community development, and self-reliance.

The participants joined the live interaction with keen interest and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister.
The programme concluded on an inspiring note, motivating the youth to continue contributing towards nation-building and the holistic development of India's vibrant border villages, the report added.
