Kohima, Wokha secure victories in Senior Men’s Inter-District Tournament

- DIMAPUR — In the ongoing Senior Men’s
Inter-District Tournament 2025, on Monday, Kohima played against Tseminyu at
Sovima Cricket Ground, Dimapur, and Wokha faced Mon at Nagaland Cricket
Association Stadium, Chümoukedima.
- According to an update, Kohima emerged victorious by 10 runs
in a thrilling contest against Tseminyu.
- After winning the toss, Kohima opted to bat first and posted
a total of 172/10 in 39.3 overs. Imomenba was the standout performer with the
bat, scoring a solid 60 runs from 95 balls. The top performers with the ball
for Tseminyu were Kechesin Keppen, who claimed 4 wickets for 39 runs in 10
overs, and Nuntilo Magh, who took 3 wickets for 25 runs in 10 overs.
- Chasing 173 runs for victory, Tseminyu were bowled out for
162/10 in 39.3 overs, falling just short of the target. Ntsenlo Semp was the
top scorer for Tseminyu, contributing a gritty 51 runs from 99 balls. The key
bowler for Kohima was Samuel Zaputou, who delivered an outstanding performance
with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for 35 runs in 10 overs.
- The Player of the Match was Imomenba (Kohima).
- In the second match, Wokha emerged as the dominant force,
securing a 151-run victory over Mon.
- Wokha won the toss and chose to bat, posting a massive total
of 312/10 in 48 overs. Lijanbemo Patton was the star of the innings, blasting
an impressive 112 runs from just 77 balls. C Abemo Kikon also contributed with
the bat, scoring a solid 48 runs from 67 balls.

- In response, Mon struggled to chase down Wokha's imposing
