Kohima Village Council, “in a bid to enhance road safety and improve traffic
management,” has “implemented new traffic regulations” affecting the route from
Mission Compound to Ura Academy.
- A press release issued by the Kohima Village Youth
Organisation on Saturday informed that effective immediately, the road from
Mission Compound to Ura Academy will operate as a one-way route. “This measure
is aimed at reducing congestion and ensuring a smoother flow of traffic along
this busy corridor,” it stated.
- Additionally, there will be a “strict no parking policy
enforced along the stretch from Kohima Village Gate to Mission Compound.”
Vehicles parked in the area will be subject to fines or towing as necessary, it
informed.
- “The Kohima Village Youth Organisation urges all residents,
commuters, and visitors to comply with these new traffic regulations. Your
cooperation is vital in helping maintain order on the roads and ensuring the
safety of everyone in the community,” it added.
- The organisation further encouraged anyone with questions or
