Kohima treasury to verify pensioners

Dimapur, Aug. 21 (EMN): The establishment of the senior treasury officer for Kohima will be conducting for the current year 2019 the annual physical verification of pensioners who draw pension from the Kohima north treasury. The government publicity agency, the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR), issued updates on Wednesday informing about the schedule. Pensioners are informed to check their serial numbers and date on the notice board, which will be verified in sequence. They are asked to come along with PPO book (pensioner’s portion), renewed NPA ID card, life certificate and the non-marriage certificate, the IPR stated. Further, the contact numbers of pensioners who are unable to come on genuine reasons (bedridden etc) should be submitted to the North Treasury office, where an officer will be sent for physical verification, the updates stated. “No further extension will be made beyond the grace period ie., family pension on 21-09-2019 and life pension 23-10-2019, as all verified and unverified pension is to be compiled and forwarded to directorate of Treasuries & Accounts, Nagaland, Kohima and the Accountant General, Nagaland, Kohima by November. No payment will be made without annual physical verification,” the IPR stated.
