Dimapur, July 20 (EMN): The additional superintendent of Police Kohima has informed that in order to track down on traffic violation, Traffic Police Kohima will be carrying out checking of all vehicular documents like driving without insurance (two wheeler/car), riding without helmet / more than 1 (one) pillion rider, driving without permit, outside state registration and displaying ‘applied for’ w.e.f July 30. It has cautioned that violation of traffic will lead to punishment and penalty can be fine or even imprisonment. Therefore, all vehicle owners are directed to keep their relevant vehicle documents with them to avoid penalties as per relevant provision of MV Act of 1988.
