It is very disheartening to see and read about the pathetic road conditions all over Nagaland. But for the people living towards High School and Bible College side of town in Kohima, we are the fortunate few who have enjoyed good roads for the past few years. Hats off to the contractor and the concerned department for maintaining this stretch so well for all these years. Presently the concerned department is reconstructing the drainage system on this stretch. Our only request is that they carry out the construction properly and neatly, and not to fill the side of the drains with earth (or at least plaster that portion after filling up) since it messes up and depreciates the dust-free road.
Hopefully more roads of this quality will be constructed in Nagaland.
