Kohima, May 30 (EMN): Kohima Smashers will face Shuttle Rockers in the final match of the first edition of the Nagaland Premier Badminton League (NPBL) at Indoor Badminton Stadium, in Kohima on May 31.
Shuttle Rockers defeated Panama Shuttlers 4-0 in the first semi-final to find a spot in the final, while Kohima Smashers defeated All Beats by 4-3.
Four teams, including Kohima Smashers, Panama Shuttlers, Shuttle Rockers, and All Beats made it to the semi-final round.
Interestingly, Team Shuttle Rockers defeated All Beats in an all out victory score of 7-0 in the league match. Meanwhile, in group B, Kohima Smashers defeated Panama Shuttlers Mon by 5-2.
Altogether, seven matches will be played on the final day, two of which will be played before the closing ceremony. Former President of the Nagaland Badminton Association K Kire will grace the closing programme which will begin at 4pm.
