Kohima resident show solidarity with indian arms forces

  • KOHIMA — To honour the Indian armed forces for their success during the recent Operation Sindoor, a solidarity march ‘Tiranga Yatra’ was organised from Kohima College to New Secretariat in Kohima on Friday.

  • The rally led by Temjen Imna Along, minister of Higher Education and Tourism, was participated by students TM Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima College Kohima, NCC, Assam Rifles Pipe Band and others.

  • In his short speech before the march, the minister expressed gratitude to all those participating in the solidarity rally. He informed that the Operation Sindoor, which started in the month of April is going on till now. He added that the country led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the armed forces have stood their ground against tyranny, terrorism and against the very idea that is against the nation.

  • “We stand in solidarity even from this easternmost corner of India- capital Kohima,” he said and thanked everyone for showing and raising their voice in solidarity.

  • The principal of Kohima College, Kohima, Vitsosie Vupru, also expressed that they are honoured to organise the simple yet significant programme to show solidarity to the nation and honour the armed forces.

  • “This is a significant programme where we will not talk to show our support and solidarity, but through action we are going to show the nation that we do care and we also honour our armed forces who are fighting at the border and protecting all the citizens of the nation,” he added.
