Kohima police seizes contraband items worth INR 15 lakh

Dimapur, Sep. 12 (EMN): Kohima police highway patrol team intercepted a truck B/R No. UP-21CN-0657 and seized 260 kg contraband ganja worth INR 15 lakh during the routine patrolling along NH-29 on Saturday.

According to an update from PRO, the driver along with an occupant namely Md. Sgalin (32 yrs) and Sophen (20 yrs), both from Hashanpur in Uttar Pradesh, have been arrested for illegal transportation of contraband ganja.

The vehicle along with the seized contraband has been handed over to the Sechü (Zubza) police station S for investigation.
