Kohima Police and Peren Police recover a stolen motorcycle belonging to a YouTuber from Andhra Pradesh and arrest two suspects.

DIMAPUR — A team from North Police Station in Kohima led by its SDPO, with assistance from SDPO Jalukie and her team, recovered a stolen Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 motorcycle and arrested two persons in connection with the theft.
An update from Kohima Police stated that the incident came to light on April 17 following a written FIR lodged at North Police Station by Katabathina Sudheer Kumar, a bike rider and YouTuber from Andhra Pradesh, stating that his motorcycle, a Himalayan 450 bearing registration number AP40CS4895, had been stolen from outside his homestay at Midlane Colony in Kohima.
It stated that acting on the complaint, an extensive search and investigation were launched. It added that following sustained efforts and intelligence-based operations, the investigating team traced the stolen motorcycle to the New Jalukie area in the Peren district.
It stated that the motorcycle was recovered on April 27 in a joint operation with the Peren Police led by SDPO of Jalukie.
In this connection, the prime accused, identified as one Ilungchube, along with the receiver of the stolen bike, identified as Amos Pame, has been arrested. It stated that further investigation is underway to ascertain the full extent of their involvement and any possible network.
It stated that the swift exchange of information between Kohima Police and Peren Police, coupled with the proactive supervision of SDPO Jalukie and the investigative rigour of the North Police Station team led by SDPO (North) Kohima, enabled the recovery of the stolen motorcycle within just ten days of the complaint.
“We will not tolerate any criminal act that tarnishes the image of our peaceful state,” it warned and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities immediately.
