DIMAPUR — Kohima Police continues its sustained efforts to trace and recover lost and stolen mobile phones, reaffirming its commitment to public service and community policing.
In an update, Kohima Police informed that coordinated efforts over the past one and a half months led to the recovery of 29 lost and stolen mobile phones. Of the recovered devices, 17 mobile phones, estimated to be worth around INR 3 lakh, were handed over to their rightful owners at South Police Station on Thursday.
Police officials stated that with the latest recovery, Kohima Police has successfully recovered and returned a total of 36 mobile phones to citizens in recent months.

The recoveries were made possible through persistent technical tracking, field verification, and coordinated investigative efforts carried out by police personnel.
Kohima Police further said it remains committed to safeguarding public property and urged citizens to promptly report cases of lost or stolen mobile phones at the nearest police station to facilitate timely tracing and recovery.
The police added that efforts are ongoing to trace and recover the remaining reported lost or stolen handsets and that all available leads are being actively pursued.
Kohima Police also appreciated the cooperation and support extended by the public and reiterated its dedication to ensuring effective policing and responsive public service.
