Dimapur, July 14 (EMN): With regard to inspection carried out on July 12 and 13, where reports of selling green vegetables at exorbitantly rates beyond the KMC prescribed rate, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC), Administrator, Kethosituo Sekhose has informed that trade license of 27 shops from various parts of the city were seized during the same and the defaulters were warned and penalized under Section 471 of the Municipal Act, 2001.
Appealing consumers to inform the KMC of any such cases, the administrator also directed all business community under KMC jurisdiction to adhere to the prescribed rates. KMC also cautioned defaulters of penalization under relevant laws and the list of defaulters will be published from time to time in the coming days.
