Kohima, Mokokchung tops motor rally podium

Our Correspondent MOKOKCHUNG, DECEMBER 13 The two-day motor rally in Mokokchung, the Endurance Challenge I, was organized by Spearhead Motorsport Initiative. Anguzo Sekhose (driver) and Aduonyu Kire (navigator) have won the TSD format. The first runner-up position was bagged by I. Lima Jamir (driver) and Bijo Awomi (navigator) from Dimapur, while Kamalesh Das (driver) and Abhik Das (navigator) from Shillong in Meghalaya took the second runners-up prize.In the Extreme category, Larry Imti (driver) and Tako Pongen (navigator) from Mokokchung took home the prize. The first runner-up prize went to Alem I Jamir (driver) and Imliakum Jamir from Dimapur, while the second runner-up prize went to Ruokuobei Kense (driver) and Thepfuletuo (navigator) from Kohima. The winners were awarded certificates along cash. The TSD format winners were awarded Rs. 30,000; the first runners-up took home Rs. 20,000 while the second runner-up won Rs. 10,000. In the Extreme category, the winner was given cash money of Rs. 50,000; the first runner-up took home Rs. 30,000 while the second runners-up took home Rs. 20,000. The closing ceremony was held at Jentisang Resort in Ungma village, with Mokokchung’s deputy commissioner as the chief guest.
