Kohima, Feb. 14 (EMN): It is good news for vehicle owners as the state capital now has a centre to track vehicles that go missing.
Though it was not the first in Nagaland, yet a proper office for GPS vehicle tracking has been set up in Kohima. It was informed that such centres had been introduced in Dimapur prior to this.
The business venture is an initiative of Naleo & Mor Enterprise, in partnership with a Bengaluru based technology. The office is located at Lower Bayavü Hill, near Christian Revival Church, Kohima. The proprietors of the newly established venture are Vibeituo Naleo and Kevirhebi Mor.
This GPS centre will help the customers in tracking their vehicles anytime, anywhere if it goes missing. The tracking device is meant for all types of vehicles including private, commercial, trucks, taxi and also for channel distribution and educational institution.
The key features are vehicle immobilisation, geo-fence, tamper alarm, real time tracking, long battery life, track playback, sleep mode and ACC/ignition on/off alert.
‘Vehicle immobilisation’ is a feature which prevents a vehicle from being driven away with an immediate effect, while ‘geo-fencing’ sends out alerts to registered numbers when the vehicle enters and exists from a defined geographic area.
The ‘Tamper alarm’ is an additional feature which generates an alert immediately to the use on tampering of the vehicle, while by using the feature of ‘Real time tracking’ feature, it instantly locate the vehicle anytime anywhere.
Through the ‘ACC/ignition on/off alert,’ this feature raises an alert if it senses that a vehicle’s ignition has been turned on without the owner’s consent. Meanwhile, the ‘mobile app & portal’ is user friendly mobile app and web portal provide easy access to monitor and generate reports.
Kevirhebi Mor, one among the two proprietors, said that they will initially start with Kohima district and will further expand to other districts.
The cost of the GPS tracking device defers depending on the additional features, Mor informed.
