Kohima, Oct. 24 (EMN): The 5th Open Kohima District Volleyball Championship for both men and women will commence from Nov. 25-30th at the Kohima local ground. The tournament is been organised by Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) under the theme "transcending through sports,"
This announcement was made during the general meeting of KDVA held at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, Kohima on Monday evening and the total prize money of Rs. 1.30 lakhs is set for the forthcoming edition.
Interested teams within Kohima district can collect the entry forms that will be made available soon at the three-sport outlets, namely Sports World, main town Kohima, Star Sports at BOC and Northern Sports below CANSSEA Office Kohima. KDVA further informed that registration fee will be Rs. 3000 and the last date for submission of forms is Nov. 20.
The season ticket is priced at Rs.300 and gallery ticket at Rs 20 per head. Interested teams can contact 985656936 9436276678 for further information.
Meanwhile, the organisers said that it will also select players from the participating teams for both men and women during the tournament to represent Kohima district for the forthcoming 1st Nagaland Olympics to be held in the month of December at Dimapur.
