Mount Sinai HSS and Loyola enter final

Kohima, July 7 (EMN): Mount Sinai Higher Secondary School and Loyola School, Jakhama won their respective semi-final matches and entered the final of the 2nd Kohima District Inter-School Football Tournament at the Khuochiezie ground in Kohima on Saturday.
Mount Sinai HSS trounced Chandmari HSS 3-0 to enter the final match. Dougunlal Lhouvum scored a brace to make sure the team stayed in the tournament as they overcame Chandmari side in the first semi-final match.
On a soggy ground, Mount Sinai started the match brightly and Dougunlal Lhouvum opened the account for his team in the 27th minute through a goalkeeper blunder. He did manage to find the back of the net within a minute to double his tally and double the lead for Mount Sinai 2-0. Chandmari team lacked the finishing touch as they failed to create enough chance to score in the first half.
In the second half, Chandmari team looking for a comeback failed to breach the defensive line as Moses Marak eased the pressure for Mount Sinai, as he scored their third goal in the 53th minute. Chandmari team looks tired as Mount Sinai defended the score to end the match 3-0.
In the second match, Loyola School, Jakhama overpowered Northfield 4-1 to enter the final.
Vinongol Luho scored a brace for Loyola team during the match to become the highest goal scorer of the tournament with seven goals in four matches.
In the match, Loyola found the back of the net through Mechievi Khieya in the 20th minute to open their account for the team, but a blunder from the goalkeeper Oyol Luho handed Northfield a goal in the 21 minute through Totuna S Chophi. With both team failing to find the back of the net, the first half ended 1-1.
In the second half, it was all Loyola team as they started their counter attacks and Keduhoto Zao scored in the 44 minute to give the lead again. Vinongol Luho scored two goals in 56th and 70th minutes for Loyola to hand the team their victory with eased.
