Christ King and Mezhür Higher Secondary School win titles at Kohima District Inter High School Basketball Tournament.

KOHIMA — Christ King Higher Secondary School boys' team and Mezhür Higher Secondary School girls' team emerged as the champions of the 2nd Kohima District Inter High School Basketball Tournament held at 13 Assam Rifles, D Block Kohima, from October 1 to the 3rd.
Christ King Higher Secondary School, Kohima, won the title after defeating Fernwood School, Kohima, in a closely contested match that ended 68-67.
The Mezhür Higher Secondary School girls' team defended their championship title after defeating Nagaland Police Central School with a 50-37 score in the final match.
The two champion teams received INR 30,000 each along with trophies and citations, while the runners-up teams received INR 20,000 each with citations and trophies.
Dzevino Chüsi of Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Kohima, in the girls' category, and Neilangulie Sachü of Christ King Higher Secondary School, in the boys' category, were awarded the Most Valuable Player titles and received INR 5,000 each along with trophies and citations.

Assam Rifles Public School in the girls' division and Nagaland Police Central School in the boys' division were adjudged the Best Discipline Teams, receiving INR 5,000 each and citations.
Organised by the Kohima District Basketball Association, a total of 28 teams, including 19 boys' teams and nine girls' teams from various schools across Kohima district, participated in the tournament.
Major General Harinder Singh Mavi, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North), attended the tournament as the guest of honour and presented the certificates and trophies to the winning teams.
Medozhatuo Rutsa, Vice President of the Nagaland Basketball Association, attended the tournament as a special guest and urged the players to not only exhibit good traits on the court but also outside the court in their day-to-day lives. He encouraged them to maintain a healthy lifestyle, stay positive, and be good individuals.
