DIMAPUR — The Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, B Henok Buchem, has reiterated that all forms of traffic, including military and paramilitary vehicles, will remain suspended daily from 10 am to 2 pm along the affected stretch of NH-2 near Phesama.
The order pertains to the section between Chainage KM 192.050 and KM 192.150 on the Kohima–Mao route, which had been partially opened earlier this month under strict regulations.
The restriction has been enforced to facilitate restoration and balancing works along the landslide-prone area.

The DC cautioned that in the event of heavy rainfall, vehicle movement would be completely suspended due to the risk of fresh landslides.
According to him, repeated violations by military and paramilitary vehicles have caused traffic congestion and disrupted ongoing works.
He directed all concerned to strictly adhere to the regulations in the interest of public safety and for the early completion of restoration.
