However, vehicles responding to medical emergencies and those ferrying school or college-bound students will be allowed to use National Highway-2, which has been partially restored for traffic movement.
For all other light motor vehicles (LMVs), the advisory directed commuters to take the Kigwema–Kezo Town/Chakhabama–Kohima route as an alternative during the period of the road closure.
The district administration has urged commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and extend full cooperation during the restoration work. Further updates on the road situation and progress of the restoration efforts will be shared in due course, the advisory stated.
