Dimapur, Aug. 7 (EMN): In view of the social work to be conducted on Aug. 11, the deputy commissioner of Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan has assigned the following departments to conduct social work at the under mentioned designated locations. All the unassigned departments have been asked to conduct social work at their respective office compounds and adjoining areas.
Lirie to Mohankhola by Power - Employment, Soil & Water Conservation; Dzuvuru Bridge to Mohankhola - DEF Kohima, Fire & Emergency Service and Labour; Classic Island to Box Cutting - PHED (Urban), CAWD, Social Welfare (DWO); Box Cutting to Naga Hospital - Department of Water Resources, Supply, Health & Family Welfare; Keziekie to Census Office Junction - DRDA, BDO Kohima, AH & Vety; Census Office junction to Bao Sekhose Petrol Pump - Agriculture, Art & Culture, School Education (DEO); Bao Sekhose Petrol Pump to Working Women Hostel - Land Resource & Survey, Forest, Tourism; High School Junction to DUDA Rest House - NST, Urban Development and Youth Resources (DSO); Razhu Point to TCP Traffic Point via Assam Rifle Camp - DUDA, Treasuries & Accounts, Economics & Statistics.
The order also stated that the main focus of the social work should be on clearing drainage and “nallahs” etc. and care should be taken to reduce green waste by abstaining from cutting down of trees and decirative plants. The main social work is to be supervised by district administration in coordination with KMC.
