Kohima crime update

Dimapur, June 13 (EMN): District Executive Force (DEF), Kohima, has registered a total number of 67 cognisable cases from January 1 to June 12. It included 49 reported cases and 18 suo-motu (self detected) cases by Kohima police. According to PRO, DEF Kohima, the present status of cases registered are as: Chargesheet- 17, Final Report- 03 and Pending Investigation – 47. Amongst the suo-motu cases (self detected cases), the top seizures included 1585 gms of heroin worth INR 79.88 lakh in the national market, 914 kgs of Ganja (marijuana) worth INR 9.14 lakh in the national market, banned drugs such as Spasmo Proxyvon, cough syrup, WY tables, Yaba tablets worth INR 1.26 crore in the national market, and IMFL worth INR 4.15 lakhs. Meanwhile, Kohima police acknowledged public support and co-operation in maintaining law and order in the district and further solicited suggestions to improve the working system.
