
DIMAPUR— A University Grant Commission (UGC) sponsored indoor stadium at Kohima College was inaugurated by the minister of Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along, on Friday.
In his inaugural speech, Along thanked the UGC for allocating funds to the Kohima College to build an infrastructure that would benefit the young students. He pointed out that Kohima College, in recent years, has emerged to be one of the centres of educational excellence in Nagaland with some of the best and hard-working teaching faculty.

The college’s principal, Dr. Vitsosie Vuprü, chaired the programme, while the associate pastor of Khedi Baptist Church, Kezhakietuo Belho, said the dedicatory prayer followed with a song presented by Mhalezonuo, students of 3rd semester.
The programme ended with a vote of thank delivered by Dr. Vuprü.
