Kohima citizens told to stay indoors

Dimapur, March 24 (EMN): As a precautionary step to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 pandemic in the district, the deputy commissioner of Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie has directed the public to stay at home and move out only for purchase of essential commodities, and medical exigencies.

Only one person should come out for purchase and should strictly be done from their respective colonies, the DC said in an order issued on Tuesday. 

All vehicular movement of non-essential nature has been prohibited.

‘All shops and business establishments shall remain closed, except pharmacies, petrol pumps, groceries shops selling food items, vegetables, daily use items, LPG; and bakeries. No food items to be sold on the streets; no hawkers to be allowed in the colonies,’ it stated.
