Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry to host the Inter-Ward Futsal Championship at Khuochiezie from October 15 to 17 for its golden jubilee.
KOHIMA — In celebration of its golden jubilee, the Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) is set to organise the Inter-Ward Futsal Championship from October 15 to the 17th at Khuochiezie (Kohima Local Ground).
The championship is open to all 19 administrative wards under Kohima, with each ward entitled to enter two teams, bringing together youth athletes and community supporters across the capital, according to a press release.
The championship carries a cash prize pool comprising INR 1,00,000 for the champion team, INR 60,000 for the runner-up, and INR 20,000 each for the two semi-finalists. In individual awards, the Golden Boot, Golden Ball, Golden Glove, and Best Coach will receive INR 5,000 each.
The Kohima Town Club will manage the three-day tournament in technical collaboration with the Kohima District Football Association, while the Kohima Press Club will serve as the official media partner.
Entry forms will be available from October 1 onwards at the KCCI office during office hours, while the last date for submission is October 12. Registration details, official fixtures, and tournament rules will be communicated directly to all respective ward authorities.
