Kohima Chakhesang Students’ Union holds 2nd annual sports meet in Kohima

KOHIMA — The Kohima Chakhesang Students’ Union (KCSU) organised the 2nd edition of its annual sports meet at D-Khel Ground, Kohima, on Tuesday.

MLA of the 9th Kohima Town Assembly Constituency, Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, attended the occasion as the guest speaker, according to an update.

In his address, he shared reflections on his childhood and highlighted the importance of the dignity of labour in achieving success. He encouraged students to prioritise education above all else.

Guest of honour Dode Nakro emphasised the need for good sportsmanship and teamwork while also pointing out that trust-building and resilience are key factors in achieving goals.

An oath-taking ceremony was led by Virelu Pohena, games and sports secretary of KCSU. The sports meet began with a "kick-off" by the guest speaker.
