Kohima, April 17 (EMN): Kohima town is hosting a business event that is offering goods and products that range from fruits to electronics from other countries.
A business platform named the “International Kohima Expo 2019” got underway at Kohima’s local ground from April 15 in the capital town. The inaugural function was held on April 17 with a dedicatory prayer by Sevizo Yhome, associate pastor of the Baptist Revival Church, Kohima village.
The “expo” was organised by a Kohima-based business society called Vitho Society. It is the second time in Kohima after 2017 that an ‘international expo’ is being organised.
The primary objective of the trade platform was to spread the message that not everyone, particularly the graduating youths, will get white collar jobs. ‘People are welcome to do business and we hope to work with all sections of the people,’ said Kelhouziengu-ü Mechülho, the president of Vitho Society.
The event will sell a variety of products that include dry fruits from Afghanistan; blankets from the Netherlands; garments from Bangladesh; oil, shoes, and jewelleries, etcfrom Thailand; Kashmiri shawls; and from local business stores like Hyundai showrooms and electronic stores.
Altogether 60 stalls have been put up stored with various items. The business exposition will be open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm and will continue till April 30.
