Kohima Bible College organises alumni meet

[caption id="attachment_130016" align="alignleft" width="550"] John Manger[/caption] Our Correspondent Kohima, August 1 (EMN): Keeping in mind on the forthcoming golden jubilee celebration in 2020, Kohima Bible College (KBC) organised an alumni meet 2017 in commemoration of its 47th anniversary in its chapel hall on August 1. [caption id="attachment_130026" align="alignleft" width="550"] Rev. Neivotso[/caption] Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, Principal KBC and senior pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church, Kohima, speaking at the event, said KBC is the first Bible College in Nagaland and also the second in Northeast India started by Rev. Neihulie Angami. On vision 2020, he said the college needs to grow with the passage of time and mentioned that the college will focus on producing quality students and disciples to spread the word of God. As a mark of Golden Jubilee in 2020, he informed that KBC will construct a boy’s hostel for the students. [caption id="attachment_130027" align="alignleft" width="550"] Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo[/caption] Rev. Dr. DL Sanchu, Executive Secretary ACRCC and also alumni of KBC, in his speech stressed on the need of spirit filled people in the modern world. Stating that a Bible college is a spirit fill education curriculum, he maintained that the presence of God should be spirit fill. He also stressed on the utilisation of modern technology and be equipped with the technology in the mission field to more effective in evangelism. Dr. DL Sanchu[/caption] Noting that western missionaries were not allowed entry in many areas in the olden time due to political and racial factors, he said Nagas were privileged to cover those areas. Stating that domination should not be a barrier, he urged to come and work together to reach out to the neighboring countries such as Bhutan, Nepal Myanmar, Bangladesh. “New era has come for us to evangelise the unreached group people, the unfinished task has been left to us to carry spread the gospel to these people,” stated Sanchu. John Manger, pastor of International Restoration Chruch, Austin, Texas, who was also an alumni, shared his testimony and emphasise that the students should be tough soldier of Christ. Lamenting on some missionaries who look for position and money, he said those people are not real minister of God. He urged KBC students to love KBC stating that is where their foundation was built. He further urged the students to share the good things about KBC. Rev. Neivotso Neikha, Mission Director of North East India Christian Revival Church, also spoke on the occasion.
