KOHIMA — The Kohima Bible College (KBC) on Friday held its 50th graduation day programme at the multipurpose hall of IG Stadium in Kohima with Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, principal of KBC and senior pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church, as the convocation speaker.
Speaking at the programme, Rev. Kiewhuo called upon the graduates to be focused by looking unto Jesus and be disciplined and earn the crown-the crown of victory. He exhorted the gathering to flee from sin, youthful lust, adultery and be good model of Christ citing the inspirational characters from the Bible.
On the 50th graduation day, the Reverend advised the students to be the vessel of God and reminded that Kohima Bible College (KBC) is the first charismatic bible college in northeast India.
He also urged the graduates to be watchful of temptation and remain steadfast on the doctrine of the Bible in their mission and warned of compromising at any time. He further advised the graduates to be disciple of Jesus Christ and soldier to proclaim the gospel.
A total of 56 students graduated on the occasion. The graduates included 31 in Bachelor of Theology, 20 in Master of Divinity (Regular) and 5 in Master of Divinity (Extension).
The programme was led by Khyothungo R Tsopoe, lecturer of KBC, while song was presented by Vengo-ü Koza and choral piece was presented by KBC choir.
Speech on behalf of graduating students was delivered by Seyiekrono Medom (M.Div).
Academic and non-academic awards
The David Nann' Award for academic proficiency was awarded to Theshen Rengma (M. Div) and Mutsekulu (B. Th).
The KBC President's Award for Old Testament was awarded to Seyiekrono Medom (M. Div) and Kikrkhrienuo Rio (B. Th), while KBC Principal's Award for New Testament was awarded to Theshen Rengma (M. Div) and Ziezo Mechülho (B. Th).
The Rev Neihulie's Award for practical ministry in M. Div category was awarded to Thedichutuo Khezhie and Atsolu Nienu, while the award for B Th. category was awarded to Ziezo Mechülho and Mudoselu Phesao.
The Spiritual Maturity Award in M Div category was awarded to Kevide Kikhi and Ngapkhao M Konyak, while the award in B Th. category was awarded to Wekoulhilo Chirie and Selika Swu.
The Social Service Award was awarded to Velasulu Rhakho, Mudoselu Phesao, Kuvepolu, Mengubeizo Chadi, Mutsekhoyi Dasai and Khriephrezo Metha.
The Student of the year Award 2024 was awarded to Seyiekrono Medom (M. Div).
