BANK of India, Kohima branch, has received the District Consultative Committee (DCC) “Outstanding Performance Award” for the year 2013-14 from Honje Konyak, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of DCC, Kohima, on May 26. The award consisting a citation and memento was received by N Chingkheingamba, Branch Manager, during the DCC meeting for the quarter ended March 2014 which was held in the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kohima.
Th. Tunglut, Chief Manager and Lead District Manager (LDM) of Kohima district, informed that banks performance under various parameters were considered by the Selection Committee for the award.
Presently, Kohima district is served by 33 branches of 16 banks out of which 4 are private banks. However, two blocks namely Botsa and Chunlika under Kohima district do not have bank branches and thereby forms part of the 29 “Unbanked Blocks” in the State.
During the meeting, a total outlay of 217.50 crore (122.00 crore for Priority Sector lending) under Annual Credit Plan (ACP) of Kohima district for the year 2014-15 was passed. The ACP has been prepared on the basis of Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).
During the course of the meeting, Honje Konyak, Deputy Commissioner, also formally launched the PLP of Kohima district. The meeting was attended ADC of Kohima, ADC of Chiephobozou, ADC Planning, SDO (C) of Sechu - Zubza, BDOs of Kohima and Sechu – Zubza blocks, District Co-ordinator of NSRLM, AGM of NABARD and Branch Managers of bank branches operating in Kohima district.
