Dimapur, Dec. 30: The Joint colony panchayat comprising New Ministers Hill Panchayat, LeriePanchayat, LerieChazouPanchayat and New Reserve & Dairy Farm Panchayat under Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Ward-16, decided to set up search committee and under the initiatives of the search committee, a consensus candidate for the forthcoming Municipal Election under Ward-16 was decidedon December 27.The joint panchayat meeting held on December 30, unanimously agreed upon Neibo-o Kire as a consensus candidate for the year 2017 Kohima Municipal Council election. The objectives of the unanimous decision were to conduct clean election, to bring about development in the ward and strengthen the unity among the four colonies under Ward-16.
