Dimapur, June 10 (EMN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) officials found out during a surprise checking on June 4 within Kohima town that some traders were violating the rates it has fixed.
According to a statement released by KMC administrator Kovi Meyase, it was found out that most of the vendors, who breached the exiting rates, were operating their “Trade License with local names.”
“Licensees are therefore informed to beware of such illegal practices being undertaken in the name and guise of their local names. Next time the office shall be enforced to take actions on all such defaulters,” read the statement.
The KMC has requested the public to intimate any illegal practices to its office.
