Hurong Village Students’ Union won the one-day open penalty shootout tournament organised by Kisetong Village Students’ Union in Kiphire.

KIPHIRE — The Kisetong Village Students’ Union organised a one-day open penalty shootout tournament on the theme “Goal against drug abuse” in Kiphire on Saturday.
The tournament was organised in collaboration with Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, Kiphire Printing Press, and Secret Urban Outfits. A total of 17 teams participated in the tournament.
The Hurong Village Students’ Union emerged as the champions, winning a cash prize of INR 15,000 along with certificates. Hunter XI claimed the second position, securing INR 10,000 and certificates.
Tutsuthong from Hunter XI was declared the best goalkeeper and received gift hampers from Secret Urban Outfits.
Earlier, the tournament commenced with a kick-off programme where Zisela, OST Counsellor at District Hospital Kiphire, attended as the speaker and delivered a speech on drug abuse and awareness.
