Kohima, Nov. 2 (EMN): The fourth edition of Kiruphema Students’ Union (KSU) open volleyball-cum-1st penalty shootout tournament kicked off at Kiruphema local ground, in Peducha on Friday.
Altogether, 14 volleyball teams and 17 teams for penalty shootout will be participating in the tournament which will go on till No. 3.
On Friday, Krosal Neikha, class-I contractor, who attended the opening ceremony of the sporting event as special guest lauded the KSU for successfully organising the tournament not only to promote young talents, but to bring unity within the people of Kiruphema and outside.
Expressing happiness over the participation of teams from other places in the 4th edition, Neikha said their participation would only add more flavour to the tournament and portrayed a positive image of KSU amongst the sports fraternity.
