Dimapur, Dec. 29: The 42nd Kiruphema Youth Organisation sports meet under the theme ‘Strive for Prosperity’ which begins on 27th December with Pecüvilie Kruneilie, Pastor Peducha Baptist Church as the chief guest concluded today with Shri.Thepfülhoutuo Zenyüu, Chairman KGC as the guest of honour in the final ceremony.
Altogether, a total of 10 football (Men) teams and 15 volleyball teams (Men & Women) with 342 players from 6 clubs have participated the tournament this year with a total goal score of 37 at 1.85 goals per match in football.
While in football, Kezekevi club won the championship by defeating Nourhe club with 2-0 in the final and walked away with a cash of Rs.50,000, trophy and citation and the runners-up received a cash award of Rs.30,000, trophy & citation.In volleyball, Kekhrie club (women) and Kezekevi club (men) won the championship and walk away with Rs.30,000, trophy & citation and Nourhe club (women) and Kekhrie club (men) got the runners-up with Rs.20,000, trophy & citation each respectively.
Individual prizes were awarded to best player in football-Kethovikho Zenyüu of Kezekevi club, best player in volleyball (women)-Vizokhono Hesielie of Kekhrie club, best player in volleyball (men)-Kevikuolie Hesielie of Kezekevi club and highest scorer-Pelengulie of Kekhrie club and Virüükho of Kenei club with 5 goals each.
