Dimapur, June 10 (EMN): The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kiphire, Mohammad Ali Sihab Sihab was said to have encouraged the village leaders to make judicious use of the Government of India schemes.
The DC was addressing a launching programme of the implementation of Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan (KKA) of Kiphire that was held on June 8 at the Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) Conference hall in Kiphire.
With the district being selected as one of the backward districts in India, it meant, the districts is lacking behind many other districts. This was the reason as to why the Government of India has made provisions for various packages and schemes to improve the current condition and situation of Kiphire and its people, the press release said.
Further, the DC has urged farmers to learn the latest agriculture technology which was being imparted by the Agriculture Technology Management Agency for increasing production and improve their living standard.
The district agriculture officer and other allied department presented the action plan for implementation of KKA in the district. Altogether 49 villages leaders were said to have been attended the program which was followed by an interactive session between the village leaders and officers.
