Dimapur, May 2 (EMN): Dimapur, May 2 (EMN): The 7 Assam Rifles is set to organise a two-day annual music fest on May 8 and 9 at the helipad ground in Kiphire. A press release from the organisers on Wednesday informed that the music fest is being organised on the theme ‘Connecting cultures.’
A press release from that organisation stated that state minister of soil and water conservation, V Kashiho Sangtam, would attend the annual music fest as the special guest.
According to the press note, the fest would include presentation of diverse acts featuring ENSF rock beat contest winners Crush & Burn. The updates informed that 7 Assam Rifles band, Kiphire IRB band, and Shield of Faith would also perform during the event. The extravaganza would feature over 18 solo artistes. According to the release, headliner of the music fest would be Sepongla Thonger, Naga Idol finalist 2009 and winner of Eastern Voice Hunt 2013.
Crush & Burn front man, Leochum said, “Musicians from Kiphire is blessed to be part of such a special and unique event with a perfect festival ground, surrounded by rolling hills with picturesque views in all directions.”
The update stated that the event is being organised to bring people together irrespective of caste, creed, tribes, and religion. The organiser informed that other attractions to the music fest would include local cuisines, cultural folksongs and stalls.
