The monthly meeting of Kiphire DPDB for the month of June 2014 was held on June 5 in the Dc’s conference hall, Kiphire under the chairmanship of Parliamentary Secretary for Housing and Excise, T Torechu.
Addressing the meeting, the Chairman expressed his happiness to the board members for their participation in the DPDB meeting and encouraged them to continue it in future. He informed the board that most of the departmental development works were not known to the public and other part of the State. He asserted that according to the flow of funds for developmental activities into the district, Kiphire is no more a backward district. He therefore seeks the officers co-operation in delivering their good services to the people. He also asked the departments to submit their departmental profiles, activities and achievements along with photos for the last financial year to the District Planning Officer within a week, for compilation and publication.
The Chairman also stated that sincerity is a must and further said that sending of representative subordinate officers to the DPDB meeting is not a good sign and not appropriate in the formulation of planning and development process. The board reviewed the following agenda: Renovation of GA Rest house; Soiling and metal ling of road to Yangphi GHS road where the Board decided to forward it to the concern department for mobilization of the fund. Construction of Amahator road to Tukhaki via Zisaji Presidency College was also discussed and decided to submit the proposal to DUDA for the road construction.
With regard to RKVY projects at Phelungre and Phuvkiu village, the board constituted a committee for ATMA at Phelungre and Phuvkiu Village. The Sericulture Department would begin work in this year. The ATMA department includes Soil and Water Conservation; Agriculture; Fisheries; Vety-and Animal Husbandry; Horticulture; Sericulture; Irrigation and Flood Control.
Agenda discussed during the meeting included BRGF Plan 2014-2015.
Annual action plan 2014-2015 amounting Rs, 12.42 crores. The house approved for onward submission to the concern Ministry for seeking Grand in-Aid for Little Flower School Kiphire. The board after proper scrutiny of the necessary papers and decided to recommend to the concern department for necessary action in opening of new schools of CY Mongzar and Kyingvong School Salomi. Renovation of USSC Office Kiphire Hq, the board decided to recommend to DUDA for assistance.
BADP 2014-2015, submitted by Parliamentary Secretary for Housing and Excise was approved by the board since the schemes and fund under the proposal were genuine and essential.
The Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB welcomed all the members and also congratulated the Chairman for being inducted in the new government. The following new Board members: Dr. Robin Lotha Medical Superintendent; Pradip Bhowmick BM, SBI Kiphire and Kamdi Hemant Bhaskar IFS Wild Life Warden were introduced to the house.
