The King of the Ring Series 2015 organized by 3E Nagaland under the aegis of Nagaland Wrestling Association is scheduled from October 29 to 31 at Kohima Local Ground.
The total prize money for this year’s event is fixed at Rs. 5.44 Lakh. So far wrestlers from Angami, Chakhesang, Zeliang, Poumai and Lotha have registered for participation.
Going by registration, 34 wrestlers have registered for Lightweight category, 26 for Middleweight, 9 for Heavyweight and 9 for junior category.
Apart from cash prizes, winners will also be given the champions belt, while the champion of the ‘King of the Ring’ will also be awarded with a bike in addition.
Informing this in a release, the organizers have asked all the interested wrestlers to register at 3E office, Kohima, to avoid delay. Late comers may contact +91 8794006435 for more information. Meanwhile, the registration outlets have been instructed to forward the list of registered wrestlers from their respective outlets.Tickets are already out for sale. The donor tickets are priced at Rs. 1000 (valid for 3 days), Chair tickets at Rs. 100 and gallery tickets at Rs. 50. Tickets will also be sold on the spot once the championship begins. Mention be made that some of the profits from the event will go to 3E Charity Trust.
