Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): The MSW trainees of North East Institute of Social Science and Research (NEISSR) organised a medical camp on Sep. 23 at Khriezephe village under Chumukedima in collaboration with Development Association of Nagaland (DAN), Peace channel and District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC) and supported by Dr. Albert medical in-charge, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) office, Dimapur.
Nodal officer, BDS & PGD (HP) Tobacco Control, Dr. C Tetseo enlighten the community about the harmful facts of consuming and smoking tobacco, and the declining rate of economy because of purchasing tobacco products. He also shared the facts about what cause tobacco addiction and also encourage the community to make the environment free from tobacco and make the village as tobacco free village.
Asetuo gave powerpoint presentation on the effects of tobacco. Later, the health check up was initiated with the support from Medical Superintendent Longleng Dr. Toshirenla, MO District Hospital Dimapur, Dr. V Kezo and DCM, CMO Office and Community Mobilizer National Health Mission (NHM) Imlilemla Longkumer.
A total of 54 patients availed free treatment.
