Khriesetuo Sogotsu wins Chiechama wrestling title

KOHIMA — The 66th Chiechama Village Sports Meet 2024 (Wrestling) under the aegis of Chiechama Village Youth Organisation (CVYO) was held at the Amphitheater, Chiechama village, on Friday.

Khriesetuo Sogotsu from Sogotsu khel won the champion’s title while Vilienyü Metha from Metha khel secured the second position

Vivor Rio from Rio khel and Keneingusa Metha from Metha Khel were placed third and fourth, respectively.

In the under-16 category, Keduolhoulie Chadi from Zumvü khel was declared the champion. Vikeduozo Metha from Metha khel, Menuokhriezo Metha from Metha khel and Neikeduozo Metha from Metha Khel stood second, third and fourth, respectively.

Nine wrestlers from senior and five from junior categories will be representing Chiechama village and compete in the NASA D meet at Tuophema village, to be held on Jan. 18 and the 19th.

Earlier, Dr. Kevizakie Rio, Joint Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha, Department of School Education, was the inaugural guest.
