Dimapur, Jan. 20 (EMN): Former MLA Khriehu Liezietsu has encouraged the Angami community to frequently organise public functions in order to foster unity in line with the traditional practices of the forefathers.
Addressing the members of Diphupar Area Kewhimia Krotho (DAKK) on the occasion its general meeting on January 20 held at Diphupar local ground, Khriehu encouraged them to visit and participate in the Kohima village events. On the occasion, Khriehu also lauded the Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) for the commendable work done during the last KVSA sports meet 2018 which concluded on January 19.
He concluded his remarks by urging the congregation to take pride in themselves to be proud of the largest village in Asia. He further called upon the members to keep the banner of the Kewhimia flying high with the blessing of the Almighty God.
The meeting was chaired by Ms Ezabel Solo and Neivinuo Dzuvichu. Akhrie Pewhhuo, president of Diphupar Kewhimia Krotho (DKK), said the innovation prayer, while Khriesavilie Sekhose, president of Chumukedima Kewhimia Krotho, exhorted the gathering. Special numbers were presented by Viketouzo Khruomo, Lenuo Dzuvichu, Diphupar Kewhimia Youth and the Diphupar Kewhimia Krotho.
The former team of Diphupar Area Kewhimai Krotho (DAKK) bearers led by president K Kezha Dzuvichu and the general secretary Mhasikhoto Phewhuo were re-elected to lead another term from 2018-2021. Altogether 350 members attended the meeting.
