Khiamnuingan muscles pull in tug of war prize

(EM Images)[/caption] Dimapur, Dec. 6 (EMN): Members of the Khiamnuingan Naga tribe emerged victorious at the Hornbill tug-of-war competition that was held at Kisama in Kohima district on Dec. 6, as part of the Hornbill Festival. The final match was played between the Khiamnuingan and Ao Naga tribesmen. The Khiamnuingan won the final round to claim the first prize and was awarded cash amounting to INR 20,000. The Ao tribe, the runners-up, received a prize of INR 10,000. The competition saw 13 tribes, eight members from each tribe, playing a best-of-three round. Minster Urban Development & Municipal Affairs Metsubu Jamir gave away the prize to the champion of the completion while the advisor for School Education KT Sukhalu gave away the prize to the first runners-up.
