Dimapur, Jan. 14 (EMN): A three-day 56th general session of Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU), held on the theme ‘Discover the difference’ in Kingniu village, concluded on January 11.
The union publicity and information secretary, L Shingnya, stated that the general session was marked with various cultural and literary events.
C Phuniang, SDO (C) Noklak and special guest of the inaugural session, spoke on the theme emphasised on discovering differences within oneself amidst various political, social, cultural, environmental and political challenges.
KTC president, Ngon, and the ENSF general secretary, Imtichoba, also spoke on the occasion.
Cultural events and literary activities took the centre stage on the second day held on the theme ‘Cultura social’ and ‘Strive for progress and not perfection’ respectively.
Er. Elo, president of Khiamniungan sports council, spoke on the importance and preservation of the rich cultural heritage and to live glorifying culture and tradition. The literary night was graced by Er. Chillia, SDO (NH). NS Khaikho, DCPO Tuensang, was the speaker during the practical session.
Meanwhile, KSU has thanked every individual for the making the 56th general session a grand success. The new office bearers for the tenure 2019-2021 would be led by P Hatho as president, Talamong as vice president, Puthai T as general secretary and Mushiu as assistant general secretary.
