Mokokchung, Nov. 24 (EMN): Cultural Club Khensa has been selected to represent Mokokchung district in the much-anticipated Hornbill Festival at Kisama.
The selection of the Cultural Club Khensa was announced after a district-level coordination committee for Hornbill Festival meeting held on November 21. This was stated in a circular from the chairman of district-level co-ordination committee for Hornbill Festival and MLA, Imkong L Imchen.
It stated that transportation for the troupe would be arranged by NST Mokokchung, while food and lodging would be taken care of by the department of Art and Culture.
The committee would coordinate with all stakeholders for successful participation of the culture troupe in Hornbill Festival 2022, the circular stated.
Cultural Club Khensa secretary, Purtemjen, informed that a cultural troupe consisting of 32 boys and 18 girls would participate in the festival of festival.
“We have been practicing vigorously for nearly 3 months now, the teams hope to give an energetic performance during the festival, we will be leaving for Kohima on November 30,” he informed.
