The 11th annual session of K Hollohon Colony Students’ Union (KHCSU) was held on December 18 and 19 with Pukhavi Yepthomi, former councilor of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), as the chief guest and Kuholi Chishi, Principal of Dimapur Government College, as speaker.
Exhorting the students, Pukhavi emphasized that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and therefore insisted that it should be the first and foremost objective of anybody who seeks to attain good education in life. He also advised to respect laws and constitution of the land.Also pointing out that one should possess qualities of good behavior and discipline, the chief guest reminded the students that excellence in education could be only for those who work hard with diligence. He also advised to maintain good timetable in their activities as there is no middle ground or substitute in education.
He urged the students to attain quality education during their students’ life, which is the most crucial part of one’s life. He urged the students to equip themselves with good education as their backbone and become torchbearers of the society.
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward,” he challenged the students and advised them never to give up work hard to achieve success through education and to be the pride of the society. Chief guest also hoisted the flag.
Kuholi Chishi spoke on the theme “Education exploring greater vision.”
Faith in Action team displayed martial arts demonstration, while Vilivi Muru presented a special number to mark the occasion. Kawoto, GB, delivered the welcome address and Shikuto Jimo proposed vote of thanks. Kihito Chisho chaired the function.
